About
Internal tooling for Muratec’s semiconductor-fab material-handling installation programs. The BOM used in sales, the task names in a schedule, and the tasks reported in the PAS are three vocabularies for the same physical work — this is the one vocabulary that carries a project from estimate to handover, and the factory build data that used to stop at the port carries with it.
Vocabulary
- System
- OHT, STK, or CNV — overhead hoist transport, stockers, conveyors. Which one a thing belongs to is read off its PWBS prefix: K, F, or H.
- Installation unit
- A bay, a stocker, or a comparable install area. The grain everything resolves against: BOM quantities, effort, schedule rows, milestones, and PAS areas.
- Leaf task
- A measurable activity, with a divisor in units per team-day. The divisor is calibrated from real projects and versioned when it changes.
- Macro task
- What appears on the schedule. A rollup of leaf tasks over one installation unit.
- Milestone
- A PAS gate — move-in through handover. Some are derived from macro-task completion rather than entered.
- Baseline
- A frozen leveling run. Schedules are regenerable and disposable; the baseline is the commitment progress is measured against.
